Pre-sale car detailing in Melbourne’s north
Buyers judge a car in the first ten seconds — in the listing photos and when they open the door. Get it detailed before you list it.
Why detail a car before selling it
A buyer can’t see the service history from the kerb. What they see is how the car has been looked after: a dusty dash, dog hair in the boot and grimy wheels tell them “neglected”, and that turns into a lower offer or a buyer who walks away.
A clean car photographs better, looks better in a crowded listings page, and gives buyers less to haggle over at inspection.
When to book
Book the detail before you take your listing photos, not before the first inspection. The photos do most of the selling. Ideally detail, photograph the same day, then keep the car tidy until it’s gone.
What we focus on for a sale
- The cabin: seats, carpets, boot, dash and glass — what buyers touch and smell
- Wheels and tyres — the first thing people notice in photos
- Door jambs and sills — buyers open every door
- A full exterior hand wash for clean, glossy photos
Trade-in or lease return?
Same idea. A presentable car gives the dealer less to mark down on appearance. We can’t promise what a dealer will offer — nobody honestly can — but a clean car removes the easy excuses.
Handing back a leased or company car instead of selling? The same clean applies — see the lease return cleaning checklist.

Questions people actually ask
How long before I list should I book?
As close to your photo day as possible — ideally the same day or the day before.
Will a detail increase my sale price?
Nobody can promise a number. What a detail does is remove the obvious negatives — dirt, smells, pet hair — that buyers use to justify lower offers or to skip your listing.
Can you come to my work while the car’s parked?
Often, yes — we need access to the car and an outside tap. Ask when you call.
Book your detail.
One phone call.
Call or text, pick a day — any day of the week — and we come to you. Just have the car emptied out and an outside tap within reach.
