The order matters
Most wash damage comes from dragging grit across paint. A safe exterior wash is about getting as much dirt off as possible before anything touches the car, and keeping wheel grime well away from the paintwork.
- Wheels, tyres and arches first with dedicated wheel chemicals and separate brushes, so brake dust never reaches the wash mitt.
- Snow foam pre-wash to soften and lift road film and grit.
- Two-bucket hand wash — one bucket of wash solution, one to rinse the mitt — so dirt goes into the bucket, not back onto the paint.
- Microfibre dry by hand, so you don’t get water spots from air drying in the sun.
- Glass and tyres — exterior glass cleaned, tyres dressed to a clean satin finish.
Why not the drive-through?

Usually, as long as there’s safe space around the car and we can reach a tap. Mention your setup when you call.
